Free National Thought Leadership Series

The VDC National Thought Leadership series for 2023 will feature four 90-minute free online seminars – on a huge variety of topics. In the past we’ve covered working with Indigenous communities, suggestions for onboarding of new staff, the vast array of careers within the VET sector, to how you can design your own education plans.

The first Thought Leadership Seminar of 2023, on tomorrow, is called “Design Education and VET – Preparing Graduates for Future Industries” and is being facilitated by a 2022 International Specialised Skills Institute Fellow Paul Boys, Director, Gippsland Tech School.

Are your graduates prepared for the future of design? With emerging and traditional industries evolving at an unprecedented pace, it’s crucial for educators to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

Paul will cover a range of topics, including future driven practices like Maker Spaces, the importance of collaboration in solving real-world problems, and the benefits of industry partnerships.

You’ll explore how teamwork, technology and entrepreneurialism can be included in training design to better prepare graduates for the future world of work in emerging and traditional industries. Learn about the 21st century skills necessary for success in emerging industries, how to build a culture of risk for improved team culture, and much more.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a leading expert in the field – register now for “Design Education and VET: Preparing Graduates for Future Industries”.
