The Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) has inducted the first cohort of assessors, trainers and managers into the ITECA College of Vocational Education and Training Professionals.

According to its press release, the establishment of the College “stemmed from the need to recognise individuals across the vocational education and training (VET) sector with a commitment to quality.”

The College “exists to recognise individuals that share a commitment to delivering quality outcomes. These individuals have demonstrated a high degree of proficiency as trainers, assessors, or managers through possession of required qualifications and also a commitment to ongoing professional development,” said Mr Troy Williams, ITECA’s Chief Executive.

Those admitted to it can gain one of two credentials that recognise their commitment to quality: a Certified Education Professional (CEP) or Certified Education Manager (CEM).

Information about the ITECA College of Vocational Education and Training Professionals can be found on the ITECA website here.
