NCVER’s ‘No frills’ conference, held in Adelaide in July, has been and gone.

This year, the conference program was ‘The student journey: skilling for life’. Another article in this issue summarises the discussion paper released to coincide with the conference and featured in another of the articles in this edition of VDC News.

The program

The program involved keynotes, professional development workshops, a panel discussion and around 40 presentations. Access to them is provided here.

Topics covered included skills and jobs, the workforce and employment, life skills, apprentices and trainees, young people, training and assessment, access and equity and supporting students.

You can access the conference guide, as well as Senator Michaelia Cash’s and Dr Fiona Kerr’s Presentation from the conference website. In addition, NCVER’s YouTube channel also enables you to view the panel discussion ‘Lifelong learning: VET’s role now and into the future’.

The site provides access to presentations and workshop content in PDF and Powerpoint format via the VOCED Plus site.
