A new and handpicked stakeholder committee has been established to help drive the Commonwealth Government in its agenda of VET reform.<\/p>\n

Minister Cash<\/a> announced its formation in late September. The membership includes a lot of old and experienced faces.<\/p>\n

The Committee will meet monthly until June 2023 and has been established to ensure that “stakeholder views are understood, considered and included during the implementation of the $525 million Delivering Skills for Today and Tomorrow<\/a> package.”<\/p>\n

As the Minister’s press release points out:<\/p>\n

“The Committee brings together representatives of business councils, consumer advocates, peak body representatives, registered training organisations, and public, private, community and non-for-profit providers.”<\/p>\n

The membership of 19 includes the Foundation for Young Australians, Adult Learning Australia, Jobs Australia, KPMG and PwC and business groups, including the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Australian Industry Group, the Business Council of Australia, the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia and Family Business Australia. Provider bodies such as TAFE Directors Australia, the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia, Community Colleges Australia and the Enterprise Registered Training Organisation Association are also represented. Careers bodies: the Career Development Association of Australia and Career Industry Council of Australia are also included in the membership as are employment and apprenticeship bodies:  the National Employment Services Association, National Apprentice Employment Network and the National Australian Apprenticeships Association make up the final membership.<\/p>\n
