Welcome to this special edition of VDC News. Since its inception in 2016, VDC News has gained a loyal readership that continues to grow. Sharing insights on VET and education related research findings and policy developments from Australia and internationally is warmly received by many educators, trainers, management and other VET professionals.<\/p>\n

This edition focuses on aspects of the outstanding professional learning offer VDC has for 2023 including:<\/p>\n

\n
• The launch of VDC-Learn, the new professional learning on-demand platform that enables access to enhanced webinar recordings and new self-paced E-Learn modules.<\/li>\n
• The VDC Sustainability Fellowship for Australian VET Practitioners<\/li>\n
• The new partnership with TAFE Directors Australia to present a national Industry Boost Program that focuses on industry currency for educators.<\/li>\n
• The VDC Teaching Fellowship Program and Workforce Development Grants applications which are currently open for Skills First providers funded through the Victorian Skills Authority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  It\u2019s worth highlighting that VDC is not a member-based organisation, there is no membership fee to access any of our professional learning and the sessions are provided at what would otherwise be discounted rates from similar providers. There are also several free thought leader events throughout the year. Except for explicit Victorian Government funded training, all VDC programs are available to all parts of Australia, through online and hybrid sessions in addition to in-person sessions in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

  As part of our commitment to quality, all programs are mapped against the VET Practitioner Capability Framework (IBSA 2013) and independent evaluation of the impact of engagement is conducted annually by the Australian Centre for Educational Research. The outcomes for 2022 reflect this commitment with VDC providing professional learning services in over 500 sessions to meet the demand for 13,000 registrations and achieved an overall average of 96% satisfaction rating for our programs.<\/p>\n
