This year, ACCE was pleased to host Australian career academic, Dr Mary McMahon as its Academic in Residence and was able to customise its two career practitioner courses for indigenous learners. Both courses were customised with development partner Carole Harrison from the Aboriginal Teaching and Learning Service and are based on traditional Aboriginal learning methodology. Already, ACCE has been able to employ two learners completing the Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice within its the Jobs Victoria Career Counsellors service. Our aim is to build an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander career practitioner workforce to close the gap for Aboriginal students and adults in the community.<\/p>\n
