The theme of this year\u2019s conference is Creativity, Connectivity, Productivity. Let\u2019s celebrate how our sector has managed to overcome significant challenges in 2020 and 2021 and look forward to a renewed future.<\/p>\n

The VET sector has reworked teaching and business models, embraced remote learning and working and firmly established that it is adaptive to change.<\/p>\n

VET professionals rose to the challenges with increased creativity, connectivity and productivity. We have seen a blossoming of creativity and innovation as we find new ways to support and engage learners.<\/p>\n

The VDC continues to evolve its professional learning to support the sector. For the second year we have shifted our flagship Teaching and Learning Conference online.\u00a0 This two-day conference provides attendees with the opportunity to engage in a range of presentations, explore new concepts, spark creative ideas and reflect on your role as an educator.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s program focuses on the intersecting themes of creativity, connectivity and productivity and how to use these concepts to take our work forward.\u00a0 Rather than dwelling on the challenges, we will be exploring the opportunities, creativity and advances that have resulted from this period of change.\u00a0 We will seek to harness the passion and energy and continue the momentum of innovation.<\/p>\n

• Keynote presenter Dr Sean Gallagher<\/strong><\/a>, Director of the Centre for the New Workforce at Swinburne University of Technology, will set the scene by discussing Innovation in the Unprecedented Era.<\/li>\n
• Louka Parry<\/strong><\/a>, CEO of The Learning Future, will challenge us with an energetic session on Enabling Creativity, Connection and Contribution.<\/li>\n
• Kay Schlesinger<\/strong><\/a>, Instructional Coach at Melbourne Polytechnic, will share her presentation on 10 Ways to Empower New Teachers for Success.<\/li>\n
• Imogen Randell<\/strong><\/a>, CEO of Quantum Market Research, will close the conference by providing a snapshot of things to come in her presentation on Future Industry Trends and Demographics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  MC for the conference Chem\u00e8ne Sinson will be drawing links and connections throughout the event, ensuring that audience questions are at the fore and leading a panel discussion focusing on connecting and collaborating with industry.<\/p>\n

  The program<\/a> will be rounded out with a range of highly regarded VDC presenters providing insights on how VET providers and trainers can effectively harness creativity and connectivity in their teaching.<\/p>\n
